Hey there, hope you are doing awesome :-)
I recently posted a blog about "How to Set Up a Facebook Fan Page in under 150seconds". We did exactly what the title of the blog post says, and demonstrated in a video how to set one up real fast. I am helping my friend & elite trainer Chris O'Toole build his online presence from the ground up, and we are starting with Facebook because that is where everyone is! Duh :-) I wanted to update you on what that fan page looks like. Here is the picture, notice that there are only 2 fans! Me and Chris. Yup.
Day 1
Resourcefulness
This is one of the key skills to have as a personal trainer and business owner. In fact, if there is only one skill you can have, you'd be wise to choose resourcefulness. It allows you to think out of the box and work you way over, around, and through the obstacles that will present themselves on your way up the ladder of success. Chris doesn't have a huge budget for graphic design, so we used istockphoto.com to find a graphic that suited his brand. Chris is branding under C.O.L.T. Fitness, which stands for Chris O'toole Lifestyle Training & Fitness. So we were able to use Istock to find a cool graphic, and then we customized it, for around $15, instead of spending way more than that on a graphic designer. One thing I will stress, its better to have a picture of you smiling than a generic image for your business page, it makes it alot easier for people to interact with it. But Chris is still working on getting some professional head shots done, I suggested he barter with a photography student who needs to build their portfolio. Once he does, we will change the image, but he can still use it for his website, t-shirts, etc...
Building a Facebook Following From the Ground Up
Over the next few weeks and months, I will be helping Chris develop his fan page, and use it to promotoe his business, attract opportunities, and generate leads for his personal training business. Stay tuned for more updates, and be sure to let us know how you use facebook in your own personal training business. Until next time, keep your business fit. Johnny Fitness

Good tips for building a first Facebook business page :) If you want to get your Facebook fans to your site, by the way, then you can simply import it straight to your Facebook page – go to http://www.mywebees.com, click the big blue ‘Connect’ button, and you’re away! (Yes, it’s free :))
